Meet the gang!

Hi!!

My name is Westcott. My friends call me Wheelchair Westcott, and you can call me that too! I’m the cuddliest, cutest, wiener dog you’ll ever meet. The only thing different about me that you might see, is that I use a wheelchair to help me get from point A to point B. When I was five years old, I was playing ball with my family and was hit in the street by a car. The doctors helped me get better, but because of the accident, my hind legs don’t work like they did before. Now I use my special doggie wheelchair to help me go wherever I want to go . Not to mention I beat ALL  my friends who like to race!  I have 8 brothers and sisters, a mom and a dad. I love to run outside, dig in the garden, and take long naps on my bed. Glad to meet you my new friend, and remember to look both ways!!

See ya later alligator!!

Hellooooo,

My name is Jer. I have a wife, 2 kids and 4 beautiful Grandkids! I use a chair with wheels because I have a disease called Multiple Sclerosis that makes my body feel sick. My wheelchair is called a scooter, and because of it, I still get to do some of the things I’ve always loved to do. I write, draw, do crossword puzzles, watch game shows and funny sitcoms. I putz around outside, and take pictures of all kinds. One of my favorite hobbies is looking at all of God’s beautiful birds. I shop at thrift stores to find treasures! Another person’s junk is my stroke of luck. I also like to collect things like rocks and stamps. I was an English teacher and counselor, but now I am retired, so I get to sing silly songs and play with my kids and grandkids all the time. One of our favorite things to do is go for a stroll while they sit on my lap and drive. I must say, they are better at it than I!

Okee Ba,

Jer

Hi there,

My name is Faith! When I was 16 years old I was in a car accident. Because I wasn’t wearing my seat belt, I hurt my neck, which resulted in a spinal cord injury. Since I got hurt I can’t use my legs, so I use a wheelchair to help me get around. My chair helps me to do everything in life I like to do, and boy oh boy, now I can go really really fast! I love to go on long walks, ride my bike, and go shopping with friends. I especially love to sing songs  and can’t wait for you to start singing along.

So glad to have met you my new friend,

Faith

Hey,

My name is William. I was born with a disease called Spina Bifida. What that means is when I was born my spinal cord did not develop correctly, so I use a power chair to help me get around. There are lots of things that I like to do. One of my favorite’s is to go outside to garden and play fetch with Westcott. I also go to school, play with my friends,  go the beach, and surf the web. When I grow up I am going to make video games so I can play them all day and get paid for it! Haha!

Super  happy to meet you!

William

Hello everyone,

My name is Richard. I use a chair with wheels because I have had a wonderful, long life and I am older now. My wheelchair helps me enjoy life when I am not feeling strong enough to get around on my own. I have a son and a granddaughter who loves to push grandpa around. I love going to church, making collage scrap books, doing puzzles and recording CD’s on to tapes. For you young ones out there, tapes are way before your time and something you can ask your mommy or daddy to show you.

God bless,

Richard

Hey dudes and dudettessssss,

My name is Logan!  I am proud to say that I served in the United States army for 2 years. When I was overseas, fighting for our country, I was wounded.  I  now have to use a manual wheelchair to help me get around. My chair is awesome!! It’s sleek, fast, and helps me do everything I want to do. I play all kinds of sports like basketball, rugby and tennis. I also love to ski and race bikes. I play the guitar in a band, go to college and hang out with my friends. One might think it’s weird when they see me doing all of these things from my chair, but it’s what I have to do. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, I’d love to share.

Peace out trout,

Logan

P.S. Like I said, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Email me and I’ll get right back to you.
